Breast Cancer in Males

Puberty is a process in which Child body matures into adult which is capable for Sexual reproduction and fertilization. The hormone signal gets initiated from brain to gonads. The response to this process is seen in the form of development in Skin, hair, sex organs, brain, muscles, height and weight etc. The female hormone cause growth in breasts and make them capable for milk producing.
Male hormones stop growth of lobules in breasts thus preventing them from milk production. Though they are non functional they retains on the body causing great risk in future. The major risk they cause is Breast cancer.

Obesity and family background is the major cause for breast cancer in males. Men with Klinefelter’s syndrome have more risk than normal men. Klinefelter’s syndrome is a major genetic disorder where extra X chromosome is present.

The main symptoms of male breast cancer are painful lumps in breast, swelling in lymph gland and nipple discharge. Men have a tendency to ignore the symptoms as the male breast cancer is rare. As like other cancers, breast cancer can also be treated without any complications when it is observed at initial stages. So, each and every change in the body is important and consulting Doctor is very important as we know Prevention is better than cure.
